Jetten Yachting has a site amounting to some 10.000 m� at the Hendrik Bulthuisweg on the watersports-linked industrial estate, ''t Ges', in Sneek.

�



Two large halls have been built on this site which allows for a maximum of� boats to be worked on simultaneously. Besides a reception, offices and meeting rooms, there is also a large warehouse which houses most of the parts and components which are currently in stock. 



�

Further, the company has 20 berths near to the Houkesloot, a slipway to launch boats up to 15 tonnes, a boat lift of 40 tonnes and a hydraulic boat trailer of 67 tonnes.



�

The company was founded in 1997 and it is oriented toward a complete fitting out of boats for private persons and as a subcontractor to colleague boatyards.

�

Over the years, the work activities have been expanded with the building of our 'own' boats.



�

The first in an impressive range was the Jetten steel craft which measures from 9 to 15 metres and is deliverable with an open cockpit (Sedan) or with an aft deckhouse (AC).

That the Jetten has assumed a permanent place in watersports is apparent from the fact that some 155 of these sturdy boats have been delivered since the year 2000. 



�

The first BOMMELAER saw the light of day in 2007. These open cockpit boats with, as far as possible, single deck accommodation, are built in 4 lengths ranging from 13.50 to 19 metres.



�

To be able to fit out suchlike number of boats with some 15 technicians, the organization of both the own company as well as that of the suppliers and subcontractors is required to be well-organized and suitably attuned.



�

A system has been developed in collaboration with a supplier from ERP software, to optimize the efficiency of the administrative processes of quotations, orders, purchasing, planning of the work and the goods flow.

�



In the installation work, the standardizing of systems and the development of prefab modules has proved to be necessary to allow for a rapider building in of components.



�

Finally, a good planning, an own CADCAM system and the regular retraining of the technicians, has contributed to the success of the past years.
